Reasons Why Whistler is the Ultimate Active Destination

Whistler is like skiing, but that only scratches the face. Travelers from all over the world have been flocking to this award-winning lounge on just over the slopes – albeit a very good reason. We’ve found the top eight reasons why Whistler should be your place for winter (or spring) this year.

1. Skiing is a long time

The Whistler ski season lasts about six months from November to May, and is one of the longest in North America. March is rarely the most snowy month in Whistler, allowing visitors to combine great flour with long skiing days. The April tour comes with soft snow, warm sessions and special events, such as the World Ski and Snowboard Festival. An added benefit of this great time of visit is that the cost of late travel can be the size of a fund: a great experience on a small budget.

2. Excellent snow conditions

For Whistler, it’s snowing – a lot. At an average of more than 11 feet per year of white goods (about the length of a school bus at the end of it), Whistler is the place to visit whether you prefer powder days or showers. With so much snow so far this winter, the conditions are great – great excuses for planning a trip this season.

3. The landscape is spectacular

Two mountains. More than 200 lanes with 37 elevators. Five-park national parks. More than 8100 hectares of cheap land. In a nutshell: Whistler is great, but also varied. Adrenaline junkies can turn their muscles into some of the most challenging and challenging runs in the world. If you are still a little tired on your knees, in the afternoon you take a lesson to find your ski legs are probably the most suitable. You can even leave children to learn and go out on their own. Those who choose to spend more time in the air than on the ground can test their tactics in over 150 aspects and 40 jumps in the parks of the street areas. Regardless of your level of skills, Whistler has something instant about you.

4. Skiing is just the beginning

Not everyone knows or loves to ski, but Whistler is not just an ice rink. Mecca for outdoor lovers. You can skate, skate, walk in the snow or try winter zip-lining. Want something more quiet? Try fishing for ice or catching ice. Even a short walk from the spa to the grocery store can be considered an outdoor activity. At Whistler, they believe in the background – whatever it is – you always get the right to retaliate and refuel with your friends and family for hot cocktails, cocktails or bites.

5. Easy to get to

While you can rent a helicopter to Wistler, most people choose to fly to Vancouver and make a two-hour trip around the world. Vancouver International Airport is serviced by Air Canada and / or WestJet daily from all major Canadian cities. You will not need a passport so easy travel is noteworthy compared to ski resorts in the U.S. Whether you decide to take a simple Whistler shuttle from the airport or rent a car for yourself, watching your window from the Sea to the Sky Highway will be fun.

6. The pedestrian village is the only attraction

So make your way down the mountain and you want a little rest and relaxation. Skip the gondolas and you’re in the valley: Neighbor in the middle of Whistler. Many hotels are located in the area, surrounded by spas, art galleries, small shops, big-name shops, unusual restaurants and fine restaurants. Workplaces, bars and nightclubs are also well stocked. There are no cars in these stone walkways so walking is a breeze – like a vibe. Whistler may be of a larger size, but it still feels like a free, mountainous city.

7. Whistler has a gondola holding a world record

Linking the Blackcomb and Whistler mountains is the PEAK 2 PEAK gondola. It has the longest non-ground elevation in the world and is the highest in its kind. Imagine that you are at the top of a 14-story building and ride in a glass-enclosed car with a 360-degree view of the snow-covered peaks to another 14-story building about three miles [3 km] away. Extra Bonus: Skiing is not a must go on this trip. Bring your best camera because you will definitely take some photos to share with them. The only way to capture these images would be if you could fly.

8. There are deals to be found

You may think you need deep pockets to pay for the trip, but Whistler offers to stay and slide packages with savings of up to 40%, depending on how long you stay. These deals are available all season and include accommodation and promotion tickets.
