San Francisco, one of America’s most prosperous cities, is attracting people from all over the world because of its scenic beauty. As a result, millions of tourists leave their hearts behind after visiting San Francisco. The result is that San Francisco was voted among “America’s Favorite Cities” by students at Condé Nast Traveler last year, last year. Known for its diverse culture, beautiful scenery, unusual climate, excellent city, good food, open and friendly people and many more, there is nothing like the endless charm of San Francisco. The city offers many things you can do for almost everyone and more.

Below are 12 amazing reasons why San Francisco is a great place to visit at least once in a lifetime. After reading these reasons, each person will have some satisfying explanations to set San Francisco as their next destination.

1. Available within a day

One of the great things about visiting San Francisco is that, although the city is very large in terms of attractiveness and resources, it is small in size. Tourists setting foot in the city can explore almost every part of the city within a day and have ample time to create a scene and make a difference in San Francisco. In just one full day, it is possible to do many good things including a trip to Alcatraz, walk through old Chinatown, visit world-class museums, shop in Union Square, walk over Golden Gate Bridge, eat at Al’s Beka, ride a cable car and so on.

2. Tons of amazing views

One of the things to do for all visitors to San Francisco is to take advantage of the visual beauty that is included. If you look around while walking around town, you can enjoy a truly amazing view. Views are not limited to city skyline. There is an incredible nature throughout and around the city from the waves crashing on the rocks of Ocean Beach to the sunset at the Embarcadero to the Presidio view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

3. Unexpected weather

San Francisco surprises all visitors with their extremely diverse and unusual behavior. You may find that the climate changes drastically from neighbors to neighbors. The rugged terrain and coastal areas of San Francisco are responsible for such climate change. Travelers can get a nice wet winter and a cool dry summer. Over four seasons, the weather in San Francisco can be difficult for visitors to predict, but this Fog City brings a beautiful sky, curls of the white fog and a glorious sunset.

4. Heaven for foodies

San Francisco has more than 4,500 restaurants in its seven-square-mile area where food is like art. The city is a paradise for your taste buds. Named “Best Food City In The Country” by Bon Appetit, there are six local restaurants included in the top 50 restaurants across the country — most of any U.S. city.

The San Francisco cuisine is dedicated to making the best of the best cuisine served throughout the city, and no two places are alike. There are so many food choices to get the chance to satisfy your stomach like your eyes in San Francisco.

5. Great for bike lovers

Whether you are a cyclist or an avid cyclist, San Francisco can be a great place for you. All facilities such as bike lanes, bike parking and road signs that give passengers the best route are available to passengers. Bicycles are as popular as cars in San Francisco. Most rides officially start on the city side of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are many rotating routes with iconic and challenging with amazing views, amazing climbs and fast descent. Some of them are Col du Pantoll, Alpine Dam + Mt. UTam, Point Reyes Loop, Muir Woods Loop, etc.

6. Excellent shopping area

If you love to shop, San Francisco could be the dream world for you. There are perfect locations like Union Square for serious buyers, where most of the top-selling products are available. Supermarkets and most specialty retailers such as Post, Sutter, Geary, Grant, Stockton and Powell.

7. Combined with different cultures and peoples

Without a cultural experience, a visit to San Francisco would not be complete. The city is home to world-renowned symphony, opera and ballet companies. Many playwrights have written down their fine art in San Francisco. Meditation, yoga and Eastern philosophy are part of the city’s DNA. San Francisco has people, including Whites, Asians, African-Americans, Latinos and many more. The open and friendly people of San Francisco welcome everyone with their heart.

8. Great and old Chinatown

Chinatown located on Grant Avenue and Stockton Street in San Francisco is the oldest in North America and the largest outside of Asia. It continues to preserve its culture, languages, places of worship, social groups, and identity. The city within the city is better located on foot; unusual shops, famous restaurants, food markets, temples and small museums have their limits. Visitors can buy classic ingredients at a grocery store, relax and enjoy a “dim sum” lunch or see the making of lucky cookies.

9. World-class museums

The San Francisco Museum is a must for any visitor due to the existence of a very ancient and contemporary art collection, world-class aquariums, planetarium and many more. But they are not just the best collections; there are also prestigious buildings and some of the most spectacular vistas in the city that make the San Francisco museum special.

The Asian Art Museum, The Exploratorium, de Young Museum, the Legion of Honor and the California Academy of Sciences are some of the most important artifacts of art, culture, history, or science of Eastern and Western art.

10. Free cost celebrations

The great benefits of living in the city are using the free shows and highways that take place almost every weekend from April to October – many of which are free of charge. San Francisco’s downtown plazas and market streets are crowded during these amazing events. The Union Street Festival, How Weird Street Fair, Carnival San Francisco and Fillmore Jazz Festival are some of the most popular festivals where almost everywhere they show their unique identity with live entertainment, local art, vendors and delicious street food.

11. Amazing vegetable garden and zoo

San Francisco’s extremely diverse climatic conditions allow for the growth of plants found throughout the world, including plants that are no longer found in their habitats. The San Francisco Botanical Garden is known for its unique, diverse and important botanical collections, where visitors can discover nature, learn about plants and nature in the ‘outer class’.

Similarly, San Francisco Zoo is an urban oasis. It is home to more than 1,000 endangered, endangered and rescued animals from more than 250 species.

12. Paradise of night entertainment

San Francisco nightlife is as mixed and colorful as San Francisco itself, and each venue offers a different vibe, which means there is something for everyone. For electronic music clubs, hip-hop or chill art lounges, go to San Francisco’s SoMa area, while the artsy Mission region enjoys everything from dive bar hopping to a nearby dance area, unlike the big city clubs.
