Victoria has colorful gardens, a beautiful harbor, magnificent buildings, and rich British descent that can be seen with its horse-drawn carriages, tearooms, and double-decker buses. The city is also a world-famous center of culture, art and food. With so many beauties, and so varied experiences, it can be hard to know where to start, but these top ten things you can do in Victoria will give you a great holiday start you will never forget.
Get out of the water

What: There are a lot of boat trips that can be taken in Victoria, and getting out of the water is a real necessity here. In fact, it can be the highlight of your entire vacation. If you are looking for something short but fun, take a 45-minute Butchart Gardens Boat Tour that will take you to explore wildlife and the history of Tod Inlet as well as Brentwood Bay. Along the way, take a look at the stubborn eagles, herons, otters and symbols, and discover more about the famous gardens. Three Hour Sail offers a three-hour cruise on a long boat ride from Inner Harbor. The magnificent ship is a symbol of the first ship around the world.
Highlights: Eagle Wing Tours is one of the best if you hope to see local whales and other wildlife. It offers many exciting options including the opportunity to watch large orchas in the wild and perhaps even the migration of whales. From March to October each year, thousands of whales roam the waters around Vancouver Island, making it one of the world’s most beautiful whale watching places. During the peak of the season, from mid-May to late October, visibility is guaranteed, which means that if you don’t see the whales you will be invited to relax and try again – this rarely happens, but that means I may want to book your trip early, if possible.
Feel the nightlife in Inner Harbor

What it is: Victoria is best known for its delicious cocktail cocktail and restaurant, as well as its microbrew pubs and a beautiful assortment of nightclubs and bars. Whether you want to relax or dance the night away, much can be enjoyed at Inner Harbor.
Highlights: Steamship Grill, located in the history of the Steamship Terminal Building. includes an outdoor balcony where you can enjoy a delicious summer winter and enjoy seafood, including fresh oysters, Wild Fraser River Sockeye Salmon and halibut. Afterwards, splash Clive’s Classic Lounge style with eclectic cocktails, or enjoy a fun and cultural appeal by going upstairs Cabaret in Bastion Square overlooking the harbor. What it is: Victoria offers the best shopping spot and one of the best window shopping spots is on the historic Street Street between Johnson and Humboldt. Browse the monuments, use the luxury shops and see the remains of the first days of the city like Fort Victoria.

Explore the gardens of Butchart

What: Butchart is the reason why Victoria is often referred to as the “City of Gardens.” Considered one of the world’s top exhibition gardens, it was started by Jenny Butchart who wanted to decorate sterile mines with her husband’s mining company left behind. Owned by the same family today, most of its 55 acres are open to the public. In all, there are more than 700 varieties of flowering plants between March and October.
Highlights: The garden includes a Japanese garden, an Italian garden, and a magnificent 300-gallon rose garden. Rose Garden is at its peak from late June to September, and when you arrive in early summer you will see exotic delphiniums providing a stunning backdrop on blooming roses where it glows in the middle. Come on Saturday evening during the summer, and you will not only be able to see a variety of colorful flowers, but also an amazing display of fireworks.
Drive the Scenic Marine Route
Where: Highway 1 / Trans-Canada Highway
What: The Scenic Waterway can be traversed, ridden or ridden by car. It consists of beautiful beaches and parks, lush tropical trees and ancient forests, from the east coast of Vancouver Island through the mountains of Lake Cowichan, along the west coast and back to Victoria. At the BC Forest Discovery Center in Duncan, you can take a stroll through the jungle and along the trail of this open museum while gazing at some of the most outstanding birds.
Visit the British Parliament buildings
Where: 501 Belleville Street
What: This collection of large Parliament buildings in Inner Harbor is a spectacle, with their stained glass windows, houses and plaques. At home in the British Columbia Legal Council, it is where provincial elected representatives come together to shape their future through debates and legislation.
Highlights: Parliament buildings are open to the public for free visits. Take a guided 45-minute walk to discover the history of the province and learn about the fascination with the construction of a beloved heritage site and the parliamentary process. You’ll get a look back at the façade on this fun tour, and you can also enjoy a meal at the “secret” political restaurant, the Parliament Room, which is open Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch. Make sure you look at the buildings in the dark again, when they are lit like a Christmas tree.

What: Victoria often attracts many forms of creation with awesome natural beauty, and not surprisingly, it is home to a wealth of art exhibitions, from avant-garde and modern to traditional and traditional works on display.
Highlights: Avenue Gallery is popular with the public and fine art collectors who come to discover some of the country’s top and emerging artists. Considered one of the first exhibits in the Pacific Northwest, it features a unique collection of glass and jewelery artists, painters, potters and sculptors of ever-changing exhibitions. The Robert Bateman Center gallery is a unique oriental art gallery featuring renowned Canadian artists and naturalist Robert Bateman. Bateman focuses on the abundance of wildlife and nature of all kinds, with his 100 original and unusual paintings shown here. The Morris Gallery is the largest gallery in the city – its space can accommodate at least five city paintings, and includes many works of local artists.
Eat, drink and enjoy Fisherman’s Wharf

What: Picturesque Fisherman’s Wharf lives along the coast and offers the opportunity to participate in all kinds of activities, on a wide range of trips, including a whale watching tour from here. You can easily sit down in the afternoon and just watch the boats go in and out of the harbor, look for seals, and check out the unique shops and restaurants.
Highlights: Some of the finest freshwater fish to be enjoyed here at the harbor, including Barb’s Place, floating in the Inner Harbor. This restaurant is known for its watery ‘n’ chips, and you can enjoy the food at the open picnic tables as you watch the seals dive into the water and the seabirds take off.
